As a new poster, I submitted my first post about 4 hours ago. This is my seond post, and is simply an attempt to clear the blockage.

The title of my first post might have vaguely resembled "Can merchants refund to a cancelled credit card?"

The answer would vaguely resemble 'it depends on whether the card is cancelled or the account is closed', as well as who the provider is.

That's my mistake. If I select the preview, the post is never posted. Same thing happened with my first and second attempts at my first post and my first attempt at my second post (if you follow my drift).
