Warm home discount with energy debt

Just a quick question... I get the warm home discount every year being a lone parent on benefits, and due to debt with my supplier they take £5 a week off any top up on my repayment meter. Are they allowed to take this debt from the warm home voucher when I load it on my meter? Just a bit counterintuitive to give me help with energy and then take it back anyway?
Thankyou all.
Thankyou all.

I don't see why not, when it's a debt you owe. If you have pre payment metres then then debt is automatically taken weekly anyway.0

Surely it makes no difference in the end other than the debt is repayed quicker?"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
