Couple of spends @ £1.03 on some lettuce and a cucumber. I was doing £1 a day and am practically at that. I have a tendancy to think something's a good idea to start with, then further down the line I think 'what's the actual point'. I've run out of stuff, turmeric, onions, my fave coffee, plant milk - though have been making oat milk as I have a ton of oats and using a bag of coffee that was flung to the back of the cupboard, so I guess that was the point - using up less favoured stores, rather than wasting and it's working, so I will meal plan the last 3 days, I have loads in the freezer and for once try to actually stick to something. Still doing 'Sober October', very pleased with that, even though I started on 4th!! Have updated sig.0 -
Been to shop and spent 659 florints, 2 packets of crisps and some y.s. lemons, all the way to Budapest and first purchase is y.s. trying to see what has happened K9 finding life hard on tablet, gather your food shop has been misappropriated. sending hug.
An update for pamsdish - basically AF managed to send my food order to my old address, which was then signed for by whoever lives there now.
AF have now offered to a) trace the parcel b) offered me a credit note (errr no thanks :rotfl:)! c) offered to redeliver the parcel (even though half the stuff is now out of stock) and d)refund my money. Apparently the system defaults to the first address unless you have done three orders. I can't see where to delete the old address.
They have also advised I contact the police... I doubt the police will be interested. They take forever to deal with even shoplifters in this town, and despite someone being banned from the shop I work in, he still swans in and continues to do it. All the police do is get the goods back and give him a telling off and he does it again.
I have asked that they attempt to get the parcel back and if that's not achievable, then to refund my money. I doubt I will be shopping with them again. The order was purely because they had quite a bit of gf items; but they aren't really good for much else. Now and again they have the odd worthwhile item; but not like initially when they first started out, and I ordered several times a year.
Spends to date are:
23/10 £3.18 at work
25/10 £27.11 at Aldis
Also, 25/10 £4.90 at Morrisons
Yesterday £6.01 at Morrisons
Also, yesterday £2.30 at work (plus something else, but paid in cash and my collegue didn't give me the receipt; so will have to get my thinking cap on)
Sub-total : £43.50
Impending Ocado shop tomorrow that had to be ordered by 29/10 to qualify for £10 off £50 spend. Minus toiletries/cleaning (which I dont include, only food) is £33.42
Total: £76.92
Ocado shop has took me practicall £30 over the monthly budget (but still under the yearly). This is also down to gf purchases, lost AF order (that might get credited back or actually come); so will eventually be under/just on target or be over and have food to last into November.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £33.69/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. £40.62 spends for me this week plus £3.54 for milk so the total is £44.16. Total grocery spend for October is £138.20. I must remember to keep adding the milk money in to my total spends0

A £14.54 spend in Lidl on stuff for the week. A 50p on a pint of milk on Friday, and that's me done for October!
Declaring £47.19 for the month. Slightly up on last month, but still under budget. Left over notes in my cash purse will carry over to November, and any coinage will go in various pots.Because it's fun to have money!

Been refunded by AF. Even if they get the parcel back, it will be returned to their warehouse!
At least I now have £31.64 to add back to the budget. I would declare my total today, but may need bananas and possibly make a purchase whilst at work tonight.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £33.69/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I'm declaring £238.52 for October, which is both fantastic and equally terrifying given we spent over £525 last month for all 6 of us! (two adults and four children) It will be interesting to see how we do for a full month, as we started this month with a fullish freezer and store cupboard and we are finishing with them almost empty.
Still, I've learnt a lot and I've enjoyed the challenge. Apart from the junk drawer being empty, I don't feel like we have missed out either, and we have had some delicious meals.
We would have come in over budget as I was meant to do the weekly shop on Monday, and I was so exhausted that I didn't. We have enough food in for tonight and we are out tomorrow evening which means I will be able to shop on Monday and our next shop will land squarely in the November budget :rotfl: Years ago we used to manage on a 10 day shop (with only two children) and maybe its a good tactic to save money for us!
My main downfall was stress eating and extra shopping trips. I banned eating out and then took my littlest for a Mcdonalds breakfast when I was stressed over the washing machines death! Then Mr T nipped to Aldi for a boys night in celebration pizza & treats for DS1, when myself and DD2 & DD3 were at a baby shower, and DD1 was at her first sleepover. Another downfall was buying treats for DD3 when nipping to town with her - I will definitely be a little better prepared next month!:hello:Wife & SAHM of 4 children aged between 9 and 3

£2.61 spent at work tonight which included the bananas I needed. I could have got them cheaper at Morrisons, but I have a delivery coming tomorrow; so means I don't have to go out. Might have to get DD2 to buy some rice though as we have none. Also, need to minus 55p bag return for the month via Ocado.
Delaring £7 odd over for the month, but well within yearly target. Doing miles better than last year's budget. Going to up it next month by a tenner just to cover anything I have to buy gf. Though I have been eating wholewheat here and there with no ill effect, it seems to be just when I eat bread. I wil ring up tomorrow whilst waiting for my delivery, and see what's going on with the results of my blood test.
Good luck for November all GCers.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £33.69/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Declaring @ £30.72. Am out for lunch today with a friend, different budget, and have meal ready for later, so no more spends. See you in November everyone.0
