Praise for Caledonian Sleeper train

We travelled on the CalSleeper to Inverness Sunday9th Sept. During the night, the train lost power (we didn't know) and arrived late. Guard/Conductor very apologetic as no hot food available, but immediately gave us a Claim Form. Completed it and handed into office - immediate 50% refund paid into our bank account. (train was 55 mins late) It didn't inconvenience us as we were staying in Inverness for a few days. But what a change from hearing stories of people trying to get compensation for late flights. Go by Train !! Well Done Caledonian.

It's good, and quite surprising, that you got the refund immediately, but delay/repay seems to work quite well anyway and it would be nice if the airlines set up a similar system.0
