What's colour is your front door?

Currently and before decoration our front door it is white (inherited). Ground floor walls brick painted in cream. First floor pebble dash painted in white. All external woodwork in white.

Sparrow arch in white and black. Front wall brick.

Looking to add a black and white Victorian floor to the front. Inside the hall is white with a minton multicoloured tiled floor.

Previously our front doors have been Downing Street black and Oxford Blue.

Nohing at the moment, I stripped the paint off it and took out the glass a few weeks ago.

Painting front door [ because it's not the front door IYSWIM, it's the original front door but then a porch was tacked on ] with either a cherry blossom type scene, or potentially cover with a nice fabric and PVA it. Woodwork, I fancy a teal colour.

    F&B Stiffkey Blue.

It used to be a dark red matt. I preferred the red. My house is an exciting shade of magnolia with white everything else too and the red was there for four years and was more cheerful. I just fancied a change.

I think I might fancy changing it again, but we're moving next year.

  • I should point out in respect of my previous answer that I don't think my front door colour is on trend.

I've just altered my from the black it's been for the last 9 years to a sage green colour, the black gets too hot in the summer and the green looks much more relaxing if there is such a thing as a relaxing front door.
  • Ours is a lovely deep purple. Can’t remember the exact shade, it’s by Valspar.

When I had a wooden door I painted it purple, I had to buy the paint from the local DIY shop that mixed their own. I have only ever seen 1 or 2 other purple doors.

It does make me think about all those Daily Mail readers voting Conservative; on here we have 90% of people with purple doors, lol
