16 year old moving with grandparents for college...

Hi, my daughter has moved in with her grandparents so she can attend a better collage for her A-levels. Do I have to tell TC and CB that she has moved out? Can I still claim for her or do my parents have to make a claim instead? If they do, would we both get first child rates or would they get that and I'd only get the second child payment for my younger daughter? I have no intention of hiding anything, I just want to know the score before I tell them anything! Any help would be appreciated.

Your parents can claim for her. As she will be the only child they are claiming for, they will get the higher rate.
As you will only be claiming for one child, you will also get the higher rate.0
