Feather in bag of spinach?

I found a large feather in a bag of unwashed Oaklands Spinach from Lidl however, after contacting them and submitting pictures to their quality control dept 3 times; nothing was done.
I'm not sure if it's a big deal or not but the feather was sealed in the bag and even over the phone they won't talk to me about this, i was just concerned it could be a hygiene issue or something.
I get more suspicious when i don't get any response!:o

Honestly I dont think its a big deal. Spinach is grown outside, birds are outside, feathers are outside.

You specifically describe it as 'unwashed' so whats the hygiene issue? The only thing you have to be annoyed about is you've been ripped off for a feathers weight of spinach...
  • To be fair, I hear feathers are quite heavy!

I also don't see the hygiene issue given that it's clearly labelled as unwashed spinach. What exactly do you want from Lidl?

Your post really tickled me. In fact, I'm tickled pink - was it Flamingo?

Is a kilo of spinach heavier or lighter than a kilo of feathers?

  • This is going to fly...
  • Another feather in your cap i suppose.

I sometimes find writing to companies is a better way to get a reply - if you sharpen the feather...

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if an unwashed product grown outdoors and exposed to wildlife and the natural elements is spotlessly clean?

Let me think about that one.
