Installation Damage caused by company

Hi,
First post, so I hope it is in the right place. I recently had a washing machine installed and to cut a long story short they did the install wrong and it was leaking for 4 days. I have finally gone through my own insurance company as getting no where with either the install company or the major company I got it from. I am now £250 (excess) out of pocket plus time (7 days in total), worry, stress and upset.
What are my next steps? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
Claire

  • How long did you give the installing company to put things right?
  • Hi,
I am now 10 weeks in with no response from the installation company for about 4 weeks. I am writing to the company I bought it from almost every day, but have only asked for the £250 about 10 days ago when I had to pay it, I escalated to their head of customer services on Monday and sent pictures of the mess my kitchen is in yesterday - ie currently without a sink and how much floor boards they have had to replace due to the damage. Insurance company have been fantastic and the company doing the repair have also been quick and efficient.
    Many thanks,
    Claire
