WARNING: Scam regarding scam protection

I thought I saw it all but there is a company out there calling up customers claiming to be from their bank and saying that if they pay a fee of £150 they will protect the account and any credit cards against fraud of any kinds.

We have been getting people in asking why money is disappearing from their accounts. There are fraudulent activities going on as these people have handed over all of their financial details over the phone.

They are obviously targeting the elderly and not so financially astute people.
We called them up and listened to the crap we were told on the phone and when asked to confirm they are endorsed by the lender they said yes and we know it is not true.

If anyone gets a call like that out of the blue requesting all of your financial information don't give them all the credit card and account details. If a bank calls they already have the info and would not be asking for it.
