Insurance cover for Convertible Car roof replacement

Hi all. I have a mini convertible and I am really conscious of the possibility of vandalism to the roof and or the need for a rood replacement. When I eventually see policy covers, many don't seem to cover this. Some mention not covering roof replacement if the window can't be replaced.
Does anyone know of any Car Insurance providers who cover convertible roof replacement?
Thanks in advance.

Swiftcover paid that exact claim for a relative of mine. The full price of a replacement mini hood is very expensive so the car was written off.0

My car is 8 years old, so I am also acutely aware of the car being 'written off' as a repair of any type will be more expensive than my car is worth! My mum's car was nearly written off for the same reason until she begged to be able to pay for the repairs herself. How do you ensure that your car isn't written off when you would be prepared to pay for repairs yourself? Up the voluntary excess?0 -
No you just buy the car back from the insurer then go elsewhere for a new hood for far less than the list price.0

You will usually be offered the vehicle plus cash, or a higher cash amount. The excess is irrelevant. How do you ensure that your car isn't written off when you would be prepared to pay for repairs yourself?
