Bright and sunny here too, slept really well last night, am contemplating strimming the jungle, making another beef stew, this one with paprika as we both ate it, on of his firends came round and ate it, and then took some home for his son to eat so there's not much left now. Finally made fluffly dumplings thanks to the digi scale.
Dumpling - he should have a really good time, I love a good comic con, really wanted to go to the one in London but am not allowed crowds of people [which means also missing the Knitting and Stitching show to which I had already bought tickets-poo], saw a fantastic Deadpool there last year. Must have spent an absolute fortune on that outfit, it was perfect.
I think I started posting on here because I'm not actually seeing people much, I was getting a bit stir crazy for interaction hance my foray out of the PPI board and into every other board :). Hope I'm not intruding...

Definitely not intruding taff, it is always lovely to see new people on this thread. Deadpool is Lee's absolute favourite character and he would be thrilled to see a 'real life' one.

Hello  and welcome from me too, taff. I'm another 'recent poster' on here - though I was a regular quite a few years ago. 'Life changes' got in the way and sometimes we just don't have the same settled routine ............. :(.

Looking forward to reading your posts/comments and 'getting to know you' :D :j !

    Hi everyone,

Glad to hear your DM is doing so well Gers :j
Not a great day here with rain showers a plenty.DGD has already gone home as she has a party this afternoon-a bouncy castle in her friends garden, think they might be better in their swimwear or their party clothes will be a bit wet :( DGS has been to his indoor football and will be going home soon. DS took them both to a Ninja jump place last night, both asleep within minutes of going to bed afterwards :D

No plans really this weekend, unusually DH hasnt had a site meeting with his client today.I've got a book I want to finish though. We had hot beef barms last night for tea- I got a reduced brisket joint on Thurs. night. There is enough for a proper roast meal tomorrow so only the spuds & veg to do then.Must remember to get an apple pie out of the freezer too.

I went out with my friend yesterday, very exciting (not) trip to Tosco as she wanted to get her disabled son some new clothes :D so I was mainly hanging round but we had coffee and cake in the cafe.I thought she was just coming here for coffee so I had a good tidy round before she got here. All undone now, toys and general kids mess abounds so a waste of time really.

Nelski- midnight  thats a late finish. I dont post every day because my days can be a bit repetitive & I don't want to bore you all :D
Right time for a brew, & it's brightening up a bit here now so we may go out later.Have a good weekend xx

PS. Hope Lee enjoys himself ,Dumpling.
    Welcome Taff x

    Wave Hello to taff.

Thinking of the TAs and hoping things are a bit more comfortable.

    Gers

I had not realised your mother was in her ninties and am impressed with her determination and hope you are able to have a quiet spell in the cafe.

Having a quiet day as the next few days are likely to be busy. Two dds are coming over tomorrow for lunch so I have defrosted some beef and will cook beef with onion and peppers tonight and pop it in the fridge. Tomorrow morning I will nip out for some green veg and frozen pastry for a topping to make a pie.

I promised dd I would come round to her on Monday and Wednesday and give her a hand with colicky baby and bring a few home made frozen meals. I found a couple of herbal/ homeopathic remedies for colic so will bring them with me as we are trying anything and everything..

Some washing is in the tumble drier and more needs to be draped around later and I am going to just put my feet up with a couple of library books and lots of tea this afternoon.

    Hugs to all
  • Hello and welcome taff ,nice to 'meet' you

    Morning :)

Feel I ought to whisper as its really quiet in here. Sad to see less and less of our regulars posting these days hopefully its a time of year thing as we need our gang of merry women (and Specky :D)
Sorry I've not been posting much of late; I've literally NO energy to speak of, and still trying to run the house. Still reeling from Mr Wolf's diagnosis too, if I'm honest.

I'll try and do better. :o

We called into S/Drug for my Omeprazole and eye drops yesterday, to be presented with a packet of meds for Mr Wolf also, which we weren't expecting. I thought I'd screwed up somehow and forgotten something, but it seems the GP has now added in the sustained release Sinemet to be taken before bedtime, as originally mentioned in the Consultant's letter back in July. It's great that they've finally decided to do ALL the Consultant recommended, but it's getting so very confusing trying to keep on top of everything. I now have to have SEVEN tablet containers per day, to cover both of us.

    Hey everyone,

    Welcome Taff.
Late posting today, our electricity went off just before 9am and has only just come on, luckily I had had my tea and toast by the time it went off but not so lucky as I was in the shower when it did, made me realise how much the power matters with our shower, took ages to rinse off :D

It’s been strange but in a nice way with no power, lots of reading plus a lovely walk around the fields with little dog, now just having a quick catch up on the world before heading off to the stables.
Hope your DM enjoys her trip out Gers
Thinking of the TA’s also hope Holly is ok.
That’s a lot of medication to keep tabs on LW

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday x
