Scratch off the cvv number from your card after recording it somewhere ( your phone perhaps) this stops card not present purchases if you lose the card. Technically speeaking defacing the signature strip invalidates the card but I have NEVER had any problems. I did this to prevent a relative with alzeimers being conned over the telephone into buying stuff on the internet.

... and cut through the contactless antenna.0 -
Even though some websites such as Amazon don’t require you to enter the CVV number.
So still open to potential fraud.
Plus you’re defacing/damaging something that “technically” isn’t owned by you0
