We have a large area for a patio and are going to gravel most of it but we want to put 3 areas made up of slabs to put tables and chairs on. Where's the cheapest place to buy slabs please. We don't need them to be thick as they won't be used for anything else.

Have you looked on your local facebook page?. On my area FB there are so many offers of redundant paving slabs that many are free to collect.0

Really depends where you live doesn't it? Skye, Southend, Swansea or Shanklin?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Thanks for the replies, we live in the Fens - very rural.
Funnily enough we used to live in South Hants.0 -
Facebook Marketplace is quite popular for most things I think, we've got several garden items from it, and locally too. Should be easy to find something if you're not after a huge amount0

agree, facebook, gumtree, freecycle or whatever you will find loads.0

Thank you, we've seen some in a garden centre we visited today reduced from £3.99 to £2.99, they are 450 x 450. Not sure how many we need probably about 108 if my calculations are right. We can alter the size of the bits where we want the slabs to go. Just got to be big enough to put the tables and chairs on.0

I and other posters assumed from your original posting that you were just looking for a small number of slabs for a table and chairs not 108! That's quite a large dining / seated area.
The garden centre price looks a good deal but need to be sure that they can supply the number you need (different batches might have different colouring) and provide delivery (extra cost?)0 -
Thank you Alfrescodave, we've got a very large patio area, most of it is gravel but we want to put 3 separate paved areas in. Will have to check delivery etc. They did have 3 different colours so was wondering if it would look OK mixed lol0

The black square bits are where we want the paving, the size can be altered easily as you can see.0
