Buying an iMac - Currys vs Apple Store

Options
I need to buy an iMac quickly for work.

I don't need finance.

Currys is round the corner and they have them in stock. They are the same price as the Apple Store which is an hour's drive away.

Is there any disadvantage to buying it from Curry's - as in, if it goes wrong can I just get it looked at by Apple within warranty period?

Thanks

Your contract is with the company from which you purchased the computer.

Since your alternative to the Apple store is Curry's/PC World, "I would walk 500 miles" to the Apple store.
    Or even further...
  • I would buy from Apple
  • apple refurbished every time Direct from Apple UK store, always had very quick delivery as well as good price for a truly "as new" item.

  • There is absolutely no difference in buying the item from Curry's or from Apple. You will get the exact same item, with the exact same manufacturer's warranty. Only upside is that Curry's might be willing to haggle a bit on the price, particularly since it is a big ticket item, whereas Apple almost certainly won't.

You are seriously putting forward the idea that Apple will allow Curry's to discount one of their products? :rotfl:

And you are saying that Apple and Curry's have the same level of customer service?!

Of course Apple couldn't possibly be involved in price fixing could they
