Does Viewing CreditClub have no effect on your credit score

Hi Guys,

So obvieously normally viewing your credit file over and over has a (negative?positive?) effect on your credit score. I was however told that if you are using the CreditClub it hasn't got any inpact on your credit score. As such by defintion you can view your CreditClub profile as much and as many times as you like.

Please could you advise me if this is a myth or if it's actually true.

It's a myth. You have no credit score at all.

Hard searches by lenders can be seen by others. Too many can be seen as a negative.

When you check your own files, through ANY source, it's not a search, so leaves no footprint. Credit Club is no different.

    Who told you that ?

You can view your report from any of the 5 sources and it wont have any affect on your report.
  • It's a myth - accessing your report leaves no footprint on your file. Even if it did, it would not affect your "score" as the score is meaningless. Every lender generates their own internal score based upon the contents of your credit file, so what matters most is your credit HISTORY. There are many factors that lenders like and don't like to see on your reports, but how often you check your files in not one of them.
