When i open lounge door "joists" make noises?

OK im paranoid..

Basically if i pull lounge door open with a degree of speed/force then i can hear what sounds like cracking possobly of the roof joists in the ceiling above back door.

However if i open slowely its fine no noise.

Probably somit of nothing but advice?

*I dont hear this any other time only when opening door"

Comments

  • Open the door slowly, problem solved. The small change in air pressure would only move something light and insubstantial, certainly not a joist. Look for loose trim around the door.
  • as long as its nothing structually going wrong in ceiling im happy!! It only happens when open door and i think its gotta be with some effort / gust to cause noise
