I'm not sure credit cards is the right forum for this, or if it's a loan? Since the PayPal Credit seems to act like a credit card?

Anyway, my question was, has anyone used either of these two things before, and can say whether you'd recommend it?

Also, how hard was it to be accepted? I've got a decent credit score, but I'm not sure it'd be good enough, as I've had trouble with Barclays before.

Your credit score is irrelevant. It's all about your credit history.

Past issues will be taken into account by lenders. Recent failures to repay won't help. Older ones may be forgiven.

I've never missed a payment, for any account, and I've never even had any dealings with Barclays.

They just rejected me at the same time last year.

Barclays Partner Finance are hit and miss; on one occasion I was declined then six months later they accepted me.

As zx81 points out it's your credit history that counts, not your score-it depends on your income, outgoings, credit limits elsewhere etc.

I have a PayPal credit account which can be used in more places than just the Apple Store; I've had a couple of credit limit increases since opening my account a couple of years ago.
