Hello. I'd be grateful for any information anyone might have.
I rent a house from a Housing Association and have to leave because the Local Authority are buying it to re develop the area. When I've phoned the HA with my questions I've been fobbed off (they've always been useless) What I want to know is will I be entitled to the home loss and disturbance payment that my neighbours talk about? Does anyone know how much it is? and is it paid when I've moved out or i

    That depends on HA policy.

No windfall but the repayment of the usual costs of having to move that I'm in no position to pay.

With CPO the HA should be paying your bills for independent advice.
  • A regeneration development I worked on offered a total of £8k to tenants being displaced. They were also given the option of being offered a new home on the developed site or they could bid (and had high priority) on any other property in the borough.
