Ah, I see you had the words later, but I felt the 'overcast' and 'unlit' points are best said nearer to the actual image, not further down.

  • Is it worth adding in the genuine reasons I'd forgotten to display my new permit (rushing from the car to home due to medical reasons/my disability) or is that pointless information and I should just keep it to the reasons above?

I wouldn't. They don't give a damn about mitigating circumstances no matter how relevant.

Definitely not, do not admit to fault.

The way I wrote the wording, was saying that the permit you were displaying was 'valid' so don't admit it wasn't!

In fact add something putting the operator to strict proof that the permit on display was not 'valid'. Use those words.

  • even though technically the permit wasn't valid? it's valid for the estate but the date on it has expired by about 3-4 weeks and the person who gave me the ticket took photos of this

also, trying to do it online and I read the newbies post about uploading as PDF but the online form is insisting I write in the boxes and upload evidence, there is no 'other' section

Just add stuff to make them prove it.

A long POPLA appeal is best, and you've binned the winning point so you need to throw the kitchen sink at it. You have no choice really but to make them prove everything, do not assume they will show good evidence to POPLA.

  • added in 'I put the operator to supply strict proof that the permit on display was not valid.' at the end of the sentence about always displaying my permit and it being valid for the estate!!

You are trying to submit a PoPLA appeal, right?

There is an 'other' option - or rather, there was an 'other' option yesterday.

If you are saying their website has changed since yesterday, can you please show us an image.
