I have logged into the mcol service but my defence is to long to fit into the box.

it does not explain on the site how to send it, what email address etc...

It is currently in on my word processor, i can print and scan on my printer.

thanks for any help.

Everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread

#2 in the FAQ covers Court claims and how to deal with them

    And answers your question!

What is the Date of Issue on your Claim Form?

Have you done the Acknowledgement of Service?

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as described here:

    1) Print your Defence.
    2) Sign it and date it.
    3) Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    4) Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    5) Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    6) Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    7) Wait for the Directions Questionnaire and come back here.
  • thanks for the replys. I have done the AOS but only have a couple of days to file the defence now. I have read the Newbies post and i probably did read the correct information before, i have read so much information and posts on the internet my brain hurts and im very stressed out.

Try coming here every day to read every single thread and offer advice on most. Then you'll know what real 'brain hurt' feels like. :)

The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2 probably covers this. Nevertheless, pdf your Word file, then attach it to an email to the CCBC. Trying to fit it into the online portal screws it all up, in particular the formatting. It will undoubtedly give the Judge a serious headache trying to pick through it all, not giving you the best of starts!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
