Impossible to get a balance transfer card?

I currently have 2 cards that I'm repaying, both have >35% APR. I am unable to work at the moment. Have looked and tried a few balance transfer cards that claimed to give me 9/10 chance but I'm always declined, has anybody else that is currently unemployed managed to get a 0% balance transfer card?

I currently owe £6500 on my Aqua and £1200 on my Vanquis. I have no other debts except these 2 cards which I want paid off asap.

  • You won't get another card without an income, and definitely not a BT offer.

  • Hi,

Unfortunately, all the cards that do the good 0% promotions require you to have an income other than DWP benefits. You might be able to get a 0% six month BT card with a low limit from CapitalOne…

Are you able to afford your current repayments or are you in difficulty?

Didn't think so, roll on 2020 then lol. Not struggling to repay them as such, was more a case of wanting them gone asap so I can start to build up savings.

They always send them to me in the post too, I guess they still think I'm working because they offers are always 2-3 years 0% with 0% fees.
