Insurance cost from learner named insurance to full licence holder insurance

Hello!!
First post here !

I passed my driving test today and I’m currently insured as a learner driver on my partners car, I wondered what the price increase was going from learner named insurance to full licence holder named driver insurance:)

  • It varies depending on the company as you are deemed a higher risk just passing your test.

    Ask your current insurance company.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Firstly your partner needs to inform the insurer immediately about your full licence.

They may not even be prepared to cover you! So don't drive until this is resolved.

It will be worthwhile doing quotes online to see how much the premium will be.

Then if the current company are expensive or refuse to cover you will have an idea of where to go
