Equifax update time?

We paid off all our debt end of July but nothing shows up in Equifax, still thinks we have all the debts etc

Anybody know how long it takes for them to update their info?

  • Allow a month or so after the lender reports - which may be up to a month after it was cleared, depending on reporting cycles.
  • Are you looking at Clearscore data or Equifax data? As the Equifax data is more likely to be up-to-date.

  • It can take 4-8 weeks for data to be updated on your credit files, as most lenders only post updates around once a month. Also make sure to check your files with all three CRAs to make sure the data has changed for all of them
