Receiving Money From The US

I am selling a house in the US and would like to know the best way for the money to be received into my UK bank account. Is there any of the UK banks that give you a better exchange rate than others?

Comments

  • I'd check out Revolut. You can open accounts in multiple currencies, which you can then use to convert your USD to GBP. They give the interbank rate (which is basically perfect).

Other options would be to use brokerage services such as Transferwise to send the USD directly to your GBP account. There might be some specialist services on the US side that might be suitable too.
