End of tenancy paperwork and deposit on joint tenancy

  • I believe it was the end of s fixed term as we had to resign a contract every 6 months, so that's what makes me believe he would have had to if signed a a new contract in either his name or his and s new flat mates name, however I did not realise that if there was no new contract being signed it would just automatically renew on a rolling monthly basis.
    To be honest I'm not to worries about the deposit anymore as it's been so long, my main worry is the utilities as they obviously affect my credit rating and am about to attempt to get a mortgage within the next year.

    Rather than trying to have your name removed from the accounts could you close the accounts instead? How have debt collectors been able to contact you if you no longer live in the property?

    Do you even know if your former flatmate still lives in the property?
