  • I've found Illy to be nice, although called espresso it is perfectly drinkable and goes in my Bodum cafetiere OK.
You used to be able to find it on amazon for £5.
The best thing is you get a great steel tin (250 gram size) which is airtight and fits perfectly in the fridge.
The coffee which smells best when you open it I find it Taylors of Harrogate but it is expensive, used to be often on offer, two for a fiver (i.e. 2 x 227 g).

Home Bargains have a 200g tin of Nescaf! Gold Barrista Style for £5 which is a decent coffee for instant.

I’ve just been down and got another tin there were only 2 left on the shelf after that and had been moved to the bottom so they may not be back here.

!!!!!! buy instant coffee put it in a cup and pour boiling water on it.

!!!!!! drink nothing but water found in a well.

Do you see how that works? The OP has asked for help finding a decent coffee at a good price - not nonsense like your post.

OP - I'd recommend a good ground coffee.

be gone with your instant for cost savings.

buy a 4 bialetti stove top, and any old ground coffee, even the cheapest comes out drinkable, it will do a large mug of STRONG coffee or two if you let down with water to the strength you like.

a lot of the lidl ones at around £1.50 a bag are decent enough and you'll get 10 - 15 lots of coffee from it depending on how strong you like it.

even the poundland Caffè di Italia 250g bags are ok.
