Best online photo printing service

Not sure if this is the right forum thread for this and sorry if not:o

I'm looking to take a large photo of my son for a present. It would be about a 40cm / 50cm approximately and would like it printed on canvas by an online photo printing service.

Any recommendations on which site I should use?

I have a nice flat white background to use and a camera phone( HTC U11 Life) with a 16MP camera so I hope that will give me a high res quality image the online service can use, what do you think?

Any advice and help is greatly appreciated in advance:T

We don't have a Jessops nearby so no. But I have looked at their online prices and compared to photobox they are expensive. So I will look for some photobox reviews and decide then...........thanks for the thought anyhow.

I tried Boots, Photobox and Snapfish recently, albeit for just photo prints, and Snapfish came out with the best quality prints.
  • I have no idea how their prices compare for canvas, but I have all my paper printing done on A3 sized paper here, and I am always happy with the results. Large paper prints are cheapish too.

Please note their instructions for preparing a file to print:-

"FOR BEST RESULTS, PLEASE PRE-SIZE YOUR FILES TO THE CORRECT ASPECT RATIO, THE CORRECT OUTPUT SIZE REQUIRED AT 300 DPI AND IN sRGB COLOUR SPACE BEFORE UPLOADING!"

I have no connection with the firm other than as a paying customer.
  • Thanks, folks for all the options and advice, I've got lots to research now and will finish the thread once I make my choice and then receive the finished canvas.....

Even Aldi has a photo printing service. Wonder if it's any good as we need to print some for framing.
  • I think this thread was only bumped by the spammer above.
I had some 'free' prints done by the Aldi service and they were fine. Same from Asda.

For photos I have found Boots still seem to do better photo prints than anywhere else on the High Street I've used so if its something special I use them.

I used to use photobox for most things but the last couple of orders I've had from them have been worse and then worse again - I can only guess they are using cheaper printing methods.
