Question about the savings limit while on benefits and losing £1 for every £250 over £6000

If you had £6250 you wouldn't lose any money for tariff income as you would only be deemed to have £6250 minus current benefits in capital' i.e if you were paid £300 per fortnight ESA you would have £5950 capital and £300 cash in hand.0

I've looked at the Help to Save scheme and asked the same question about how it will impact on the £6000 limit rule. If it's been set at this level for 15 years, when will it be increased to a sensible level?0
