Who to call - Creaky floorboards

We moved in to our property last year and it has always had really creaky floors upstairs and the surveyor believed this was also a reason why there were craked tiles in both the bathroom floors. The property was extended by 1/2 about 10 years ago.

It's something that really bothers us, its so noisy and isn't just 1 or 2 boards.

Any ideas who I should call out to look at it?
Is it a carpenter I am after?
Recently married and loving it x

  • Cant you just pull up the carpets and stick a few extra screws in to the floorboards to hold them down?

Be very, very careful doing that. Who knows what is underneath - pipework, electrical cables etc.
