Hello, just a quick question 118 118 sold my debt to Lowells and I now have to entries on my credit file for the same debt. Is this correct?

Edit: 118 118 are still reporting on the debt also.

  • You should only have the one entry for the one account. If this is a recent change (with Lowell taking over the debt) then there is often 4-6 week delay in the records being correctly updated.

  • Both will still appear on your file - the debt with 118 will move to the closed accounts section and the debt with Lowell will be under open accounts.

The default date with Lowell should also match the default date given by 118
  • Thanks both most helpful!! I did think as much but i just wanted clarification
