Also Houbara this is the thing ... on screens 26/27 it states 0.00 for min/max but on the wkly screen it states £6.65 which is what they've been taking from every top up !
Some/most of these "engineers " are just meter readers who have nt been trained properly. A small supplier like Economy Energy will simply contract this sort of work out .Even British Gas do that
.At MDS, Morrisons Data Services ( formerly G4S ) are the largest contractor for this sort of work. I work for them and they take a lot of agency staff on and give them a script to work off and a special card to reset prepay meters . Its called a De comm /Re comm when a new occupier takes over and its different than adding emergency credit. Its more complicated and maybe the "engineer " takes the easy way out and just adds emergency credit so that 6.65 stays on
. A new card with a new account set up by the supplier should also automatically wipe all debts and credits as well ,off the meter, so could it be Economy Energy have`nt done that ?
That is the problem with the 6.65 on the weekly repay. It should nt be on there especially if screen 26 is showing zero debt..
Could also be a rogue meter or more likely a rogue "engineer " who doesn t know the job.
At least now you can instantly see if a new account card or another engineer visit has done the trick by making the 6.65 disappear.
Of course they owe you every penny back .Every time you top up the meter the data is sent back to the supplier so they have a record of all your transactions
  • Sorry OP got the 26 and 27 mixed up.
Screen 27 is the total amount of debt still owed, whilst screen 26 is the weekly agreed amount for repayment.
So if 26 is clear that £6.50 coming off every time you top up is because of that screen not reducing to zero.
  • Thank you. That explains a lot. It's still not resolved and still taking money 😡
It's with the ombudsman and apparently they have disputed my claim. Not sure what else to do but wait.

    Thank you anyway.
