Extending plug extension?

Hi,

Well simple question, because the length of the outer wall of my room, I need to extend my 3 pin extension by a few ft, my question is; Is it safe to have the wire behind an object without any issues?
I'm rather iffy doing this, though I might just end up buying an extension lead that is a few ft longer.
Why am I not just buying an extension with a longer lead? Simple answer is this may be the cheaper method, though if needs be I'll just buy the extension xD

Edit: Purchased an extension already, though would still like to hear what you lot recommend :)

Never try to extend an extension lead by plugging in another. Never, ever attempt to extend one by way of terminal block.

If the current extension lead is too short, go out and buy a longer one. However, the longer the lead, the less power you should be drawing through it.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.
  • Hi,

Thanks for the response, by extending I meant the lead itself, and not into another extension port, that I pretty much knew about, just the wiring it what I meant.

Although as said , I've purchased a new extension with longer lead.
    Thanks again for the help.
