Hi I have an iPad and have been sent some songs by email. I ve downloaded them to Dropbox but don't know if this is the right place as I can't play them. Can anyone tell me how to do it please?

Hello there,
You should be able to playback the songs in Dropbox (unless they’ve been protected by Digital Rights Management) but they wouldn’t be downloaded to your iPad; you’d have to import them via iTunes on your desktop/laptop and sync them over to your iPad.
One thing you could try (assuming you have the latest version of iOS?):
