Stoozing for people without regular income?

I am liquid with over £100K in the bank.
I live off the interest but would like more.
How can I get a credit card without a job?
Thanks,
James.

Don't mean to be nosy but are you intending on getting a job at any point in the future? If you're between jobs as they say, you've got more chance.
Out of interest, what is the actual interest amount that you live off, because I fancy doing that for a spell but have never thought that it would work in reality.
Sorry it's not a direct answer to your question but just caught my attention.0 -
Wow, interesting stuff - Good Luck with the Good Life !0

I know nothing of your situation but if you intend living long term without paid work do bear in mind the efects of inflation on your savings.
If for example you are getting say 6% on your savings and spending it all and inflation is running at say 3.6% you are really spending 3.6% of your capital. This wont really show for a few years but over a longer period the purchasing power of your 6000 will fall.0 -
Yes, that is correct, which is why I do not spend if I can help it.
Make do and mend, freecycling, firewood instead of gas, grow own veg, cut down on meat, walk instead of drive.
There is so much that we do not really need money for.
And yes, I am lucky, there is no mortgage.
Avoid all debt.
I guess this is all for another thread.
I can see a great need in the future for us all to be thrifty. Better get used to it now rather being last in the queue in the years to come.0 -
My husband and myself are both OAPs with four pensions between us which together add up to a normal well paid job. I apply for about four or five cards at the same time (2 him 3 me). Ive also got a template letter from stoozing.com (out of action at the moment)which says please can we have more when what they give us is low, and we need the money for building work (we dont) and we have a bond maturing next year (we do).It worked with NatWest and didnt with Barclaycard.
You need to invest what you have at the best rate you can find. Have you filled your ISAs?(NS&I best weve seen at 6.3% no tax) We've got our stooze pot in Coventry Bu Soc (over 50) at 6.4% but Bradford and Bingley do 6.4% as well. Like you we freecycle and grow own veg.0 -
Well, getting a Barclays Platinum card was easy. Stoozing with it was a failure. I asked for a balance transfer just 90% short of the full credit amount and I was refused.0
