Received a charge but not paid it yet

My nephew has received a charge but hasn't paid it yet, he made an honest mistake having been mislead he thought he had set up a DD to cover payment, but the company sent him a letter telling him but he didn't read it properly and assumed everything was ok. Should he pay it?

  • I did write them a letter explaining that there had been a mix up and that the fault was due to my nephew not reading correctly a letter from them saying that a DD could not be set up as they did not have the correct information. However root cause was theirs as he was told it was set up. Eventually received a letter asking to contact their customer services who informed him that as a gesture of goodwill they would waive the fee on this occassion.:j One happy nephew. Didn't invite me for a beer tho'
