For me +8% electric, +30% gas. I'll be switching again come November.

Haha, for once an MSE news story about energy costs going up that isn't going to be swamped by Bulb customers trying to get you to click on their referral link! Although amazingly enough, there's already someone with a brass enough neck to have tried it on the Facebook comments.


Bulb, if you're reading this, when people do that with their referral links, it makes your company look like a cheap and nasty multi-level marketing scheme - the 'Juice Plus' of the energy world if you will. That's obviously not the case; you're a perfectly normal energy company, but it puts me right off you.

I was in middle of switch to them, just cancelled as it would have added £250 to my annual bill.

Looking_around

From 11th November
Electricity was 12.39 per kWh now going to be 13.23 (+6.8%)
Gas. was 2.81 per kWh. now going to be 3.73 (+32.7%)

Standing charges unchanged @ Electricity 24.56p per day
Gas 24.56p per day
And not had the 1st bill yet!
Hey perhaps we should all quote these figures in forums from the official notification we get?
(Triple check as I have, then we know it’s correct, after all there is only one price isn’t there?)

These are the unit rates for your postcode. They will not be the same for everyone else - certainly this applies to the electricity unit rates.

This is from the letter i recieved.


Because wholesale prices have increased, from 11 Nov 2018, the price you pay for your electricity is increasing from 12.39p to 13.23p per kWh.


The price you pay for gas is increasing from 2.81p to 3.73p per kWh. Your standing charges will remain the same.
