Who to update insurance policy through?

I know if you're with Admiral for example then you contact Admiral & it's job done.

In this case a policy was taken through "Right Choice Insurance Brokers". Some of the .pdf files sent through are stamped up "MarkerStudy Insurance Company Limited" and there's been an email from "Close Brothers Premium Finance".

Am i right in thinking any letter should be sent to Right Choice Insurance Brokers?

Basically the issue here is my brother has a car policy and a motorbike policy - 2 different policies.

He had a 3 year claim against him that was going back & forth so his NCDs were down.

The claim was settled & he was found to be not at fault. He got proof of no claims through & got in touch with his insurers for his car policy and was refunded some money and the policy was updated - everything real simple.

He contacted RCIB early on and was told he needed a letter headed proof of no claims as the screenshot he took of the email saying he was not at fault was no good. He sent this off to them via email when he got it & got no response. He sent another email off some time later and again got no response. No refund, no policy update.

So as email isn't working he wants to get in touch via letter but wants to make sure it's to the right company.

So would it be RCIB in this case? I've personally never dealt with a policy that's had other companies involved so i'm not too sure to be honest.

Yes, the broker should sort it all out for you. That's what your paying them for, either directly or via commission.

As they have said, he needs to ask the previous Insurer / broker for a revised proof of no claims bonus.

An email or letter stating a claim has been settled would not be acceptable as there may be other issues preventing reinstatement of no claims bonus so actual revised proof of no claims bonus is the only way to go

P.S Has your brother never read any of the reviews of RCIB, if not he should...
