I think the letter is pretty clear in meaning (I'm going by the text you submitted in your opening post). If your relative needs to contact Lowell for reassurance over the precise meaning, then that is what they should doI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Just to update everyone. Lowell has confirmed that the balance on the account is £0 and the online account also shows this. They confirmed will not be selling anything on to anyone and that they took a decision as a business to write off the debt on account of the medical issues.0
