VW Claim Deadline & Slater + Gordon

Hi,

I have been trying to find out what's happening with the claim deadline for VW's emissions -fiddle compensation and reading comments on this site I'm still a bit confused.

Wherever I look via google, this site etc I seem to be directed to Slater and Gordon Solicitors who are an Australian company. Are they the official company i should be going through? The only others online seem like smaller companies who may not have the experience etc

There is a lot of forum comments about everyone getting the same irrespective of whether you bought the car and had it for a month or whether you have had the car like me for many years so any payout could be diluted. Is this correct?

Also if I do not sign up with these people and miss the deadline. will that be it?
Any information would be good

Be worthwhile compiling details of your losses as a result of this and how you intend to prove them. They shouldn't have to pay any compensation unless you lost out but I suspect they will anyway

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
