They never mentioned it, so I presume it made no difference whatsoever.0 -
Rephrasing a bit - it might be interesting to some buyers, but the fact the neighbours objected a couple of years ago to the vendor's planning application (which was since granted and implemented) won't objectively make a difference to the value or marketability of the property.I would probably dig out the files for additional planning, if any existed for the property, or property nearby. What people write is often fairly illuminating regarding their character, intelligence etc. Forewarned is forearmed....

You are so right about this - we still laugh about our old neighbours, seven years after we moved away. Thinking about it, we still laugh about the neighbours we had before that house as well, almost thirty years ago.0 -
Thank you to everyone. I have something now that I think I was lacking before I posted here - perspective.
It's true, nutty neighbours can be incredibly entertaining. And as we're going to be looking for a house to buy in the not too distant future, we have a whole new type of nuttiness to look forward to.
