Canceling Car Extended Warranty
I brought a used car just over a year which I intended to keep for at least 4 year. It still had over a years warranty on it and I decided to take out an extra extended 3 year warranty which would start when the other one ended.
The problem is my wife and I are now finding the car hard to get in and out of (an age thing). So we are changing the car.
Does anyone know if it is possible to canceling the extended warranty. The new car is a different make and supplier so I probable won't be able get it transferred.

You've probably gone past the time to cancel the policy if it has commenced, won't the extended cover transfer with the car to the next owner?
Is it a MFRS extended warranty? If not then you may as well right off the money that you spent on the policy as it practically covers little or nothing.0 -
Had the extended warranty started yet and is it paid for?
I would suggest digging out the policy documents and seeing what they say about cancelling early.0 -
I don't have a definitive answer, but I have found that if it is from one of the larger dealers then the warranty is on that car and is not transferrable, for example, my daughters car got written off a short time after purchasing it and even though she was purchasing another car from same dealer they wouldn't transfer the warranty0
