Currys your plan

Options
Not sure if this is the right place but....

I have had a Currys Your Plan account for just over a year, I bought a new TV and paid it all off in Feb this year. The account is still open but nothing has been spent on it at all.

I have looked at their website but can see no way to close the account online, unless I am missing something.

I thought companies were not allowed to make it hard for people to close accounts etc anymore, or am I mistaken?

Any ideas apart from getting in touch with them how to close it?

  • do you need to close it?
it just hangs there ready in case you want to purchase something at a later date

If I needed something, I would be able to use my emergency credit card that does not get used to purchase from elsewhere, and I want to reduce my available credit.

I think you can do it by calling the Your Plan customer services - have you tried this?

Not yet, I was looking at it late last night so there would have been no-one there.

Just wondered if anyone knew of a way I can do it online.

All else fails, I'll call them tomorrow
  • I’d just call them - if it takes 5 mins on the phone to cancel, I’d hardly call that ‘making it hard’.

That's very true, but should still be an online option
  • I think its not a coincidence things that take minutes to subscribe to take months or more to unsubscribe to...... I am revising my own strategy "get in get what you want and gtf out asap "
imog bla bla imop this whole sys is contrived it makes me yawn … Free credit is not so free..
