I don't class this as a disaster, especially not one in shouty capitals.
It's just a change of conditions, so you adapt to the change and move on.
Who knows, you may look back after a time and be glad things happened this way, but how you react now will probably govern that. 'Setting your heart' on a property is rarely a great way to secure a good deal.0 -

All of a piece with all these idiotic charges new builds are encumbered by. What is the point of reserving something at one price if the seller can charge whatever they like the next day? I will put up with this from Tesco.com to secure a cheaper slot but not from a house builder. How? Would not touch a new build with a barge pole. Find a real house, not a cardboard box, with way more space inside and out for less money. Or don't.0 -
Reservation fees are refundable either if you don't go through with an early bird to full reservation, or on completion of the purchase.
