Celebrating the historic moment in 1861 when international tightrope-walking sensation Charles Blondin completed a tightrope walk across The Piece Hall, this September will see the venue once again open its doors to high-wire hijinks, vaudeville ventures and marvellous magic at the inaugural Blondin Gala. Head down to The Piece Hall on 15th September and witness firsthand the death-defying artistry of internationally-recognised tightrope performers The Bullzini Family as they recreate Charles Blondin's magnificent feat for this specially commissioned show, part of the nationwide Circus250 celebrations.
Alongside the main event will be a theatrical gala bustling with side-show curiosities, vaudeville-style street theatre, circus performers and magicians – meaning you'll certainly be in for a night to remember. As well as a veritable feast of entertainment, you’ll also be able to tuck into a whole host of mouthwatering food and drink offerings from a number of pop-ups on site.
