People are asking because they are trying to protect someone from starting a potentially pointless claim which could lose the OP's husband his job and their only income. People see these daytime TV adverts where people fall over puddles and claim thousands but its not reality.Missed the edit...
Id love to know your legal qualifications for making such a judgement? Im assuming youre also willin gto take on any liability that your opinions might have? Specifically from what little information you could garner over an internet forum.
Youre not at all, you want to virtue signal and cast judgement.
Spadoosh you hit the nail on the head there! Most of the replies are from people with no knowledge on the subject and no intention of helping. They are just entertaining themselves by trying to wind up the OP. I have seen this on so many posts and some turn rather nasty with personal insults.
OP I wouldn't bother pursuing this thread any further because once one starts the other trolls jump on the bandwagon.Best wins so far - :jMini Cooper D, ITV Cash Prize, Family Holiday to France, £2.5K Holiday Vouchers, £800 Dinner Set :j0 -

Another intelligent response I see.
I'm making a valid point. It happens all the time and quite frankly prevents the forums for running as they should. People can't get advice when their threads are taken over with nonsense.

Not regarding this thread you are not.
The OP has had excellent advice in that in all but the most exceptional circumstances they should avoid suing their current employer over what sounds like a relatively minor injury.
That is far more useful that saying "Go to Rookem and Shyster LLP, they are wonderful".
If the OP comes back with an outline of why their case might be one of the rare exceptions then further advice can be offered.
Finally, this is a discussion forum and is not limited to answering specific questions and certainly not limited to only providing the answers the OP wants to hear.0 -

The OP wanted to hear from people who had made a claim for a personal injury. Nobody responding had that experience. I can only assume the OP wanted both good and bad experiences to get a better understanding of the process.
Not getting the answers the OP "wants to hear" isn't the same as not getting the answers to the "question asked".Best wins so far - :jMini Cooper D, ITV Cash Prize, Family Holiday to France, £2.5K Holiday Vouchers, £800 Dinner Set :j0 -
Yes Chrissy - I wrote a thread several years ago about how blessed i am to have my daughter thanks to the generosity of an egg donor. Nothing there to call me out on I'm afraid.0

Sangie I am still waiting for an explanation for your abusive post! I haven't given out any legal advice. But I do have some, all be it limited, legal knowledge from my degree.
Big difference here between 'legal knowledge from a degree' and 'real life knowledge' that Sangie dispenses.
In this case as others have pointed out the OP may well have 'legal rights' but given the relatively low sums/chances of success they need to be measured against the 'real life' losses that are likely to be seen.
p.s. if you consider previous posts to be 'abusive' you really need a thicker skin :rotfl:0 -

My point being Sangie is making unfounded accusations. Are they a union rep by any chance??
I did point out it was "limited knowledge" I'm not claiming to trump anybody else's knowledge. Just point out that I'm not a total novice.Best wins so far - :jMini Cooper D, ITV Cash Prize, Family Holiday to France, £2.5K Holiday Vouchers, £800 Dinner Set :j0 -
Somebody please put this thread out of its misery!
As soon as I saw the title, I thought I might have been able to assist, but I ain’t touching this one with a barge pole!
MSE is a decent resource, however, it is threads like this one that must put off many people who genuinely need a bit of assistance or advice from posting.0
