Morning everyone,
It’s a beautiful, sunny day here in EA but bbrr quite cold. The WM is chugging away doing it’s thing as the bed has been stripped, have a bit of work to do first and then will get the w/e chores done so I can play ponies all afternoonShe might even get a quick bath!
I am so glad that the Hospice were of help TA and you already have your support team in place, take care x
Enjoy your weekends away AOD and Camelot lovely time of the year for a break.
Deep breaths Nelski.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Gooooood morning and happy Friday!!
Yesterday I had the physio after work which went really well and my back feels much better already. So much so that she said she doesn't feel the need to see me again unless something flares up. Happy days!
Afterwards, I made dinner for TGFW who came to mine and stayed over. Felt strange getting up in the morning and both getting ready for work together. Never had that before. Anyway, in work now with a coffee. Phone interview today at 4.30 and then afterwards I'll be heading to my grans for date night with her which I'm looking forward to it.
Then heading to London early tomorrow morning for the weekend which will be good fun. I've a short list of things I'd like to do, I'm sure she has the same.
AoD - Safe travels.
TA - Glad to hear that the visit went well and I hear nothing but positive things about the nurses there. Also, wise choice on limiting the visitors at this early stage as I'm sure it could be quite overwhelming.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Thoughts and prayers with the TA's, glad that you had a visit from 'the angels' yesterday and that you know help will be there when you need it.
Bright morning OH has just been showered. We had a visit from Social services yesterday to assess us for continuing care. We now have to wait and see how much we have to pay, if anything towards OH's care once they take over.
I phoned Age UK and have arranged for OH to go to the Evergreen meeting next Monday afternoon, I can do some shopping thats needed round town whilst he is there. He is also going to the coffee morning on Tuesday and possibly the scrabble afternoon, it will cost in diesel for the car but at least he will be safe whilst I am popping around shopping.
Load in the washer, should get it dry, I managed to iron the bed linen yesterday so thats ready to put away.
Started on burying the ends in the quilt and also trimming the edge and started to sew down the binding onto the back. I have to do the label this morning and get that sewn in, then its ready to go.
I have an appointment with the Dr re my back this afternoon, so we are eating at lunch time. I will make up sandwiches for when we get back, so I do not have to fiddle about, we can come in and settle down to eat. So fish and chips for lunch, ham sarnies for supper.0 -
Back from Dr's with Prescription Antihistamines and Steroid Nasal Spray ................ hope these work better than the 'over-the-counter' stuff that I've been dosing myself with.
Going to make myself a lovely 'proper coffee' and sit down with the 'Freebie Metro' - off the bus - to do the Crossword and Sudoko ...................... I'm so easily pleased!
Probably go for a lie down later - absolutely shattered after a bad night.
Have a good day everybody :j0 -
Morning chums (just) been for a nice walk around the country park as it was such a beautiful day here in Kent .NSD this week at all, so it's nice to get some fresh air and see how already the leaves are turning.Took a flask with me and had a coffee and just watching the river in the sunshine was a treat. You really don't have to spend money to enjoy life Had a natter to another lady whom I met there and we were saying how great this summer has been for a change and hopefully a nice autumn with milder weather.
Off to dinner at eldest DDs tomorrow night as her Ma-in-law Margaret is coming down from London for the weekend, so a good chinwag is on the cards .
Dinner the youngest DDs on Sunday and our Jacks last one before he goes off to Uni the following Sunday, we shall all miss him as he is such a lovely lad always smiling and happy-go-lucky .
Right time to sort out my lunch I think after all that fresh air I think I fancy some soup and I know I have some lentil and tomato in the fridge that I made on Wednesday, so a hot bowl of that and some cheese and crackers should sort me out a treat Hope you all have a good Friday and<<hugs>> to the downhearted and poorly amongst us

Quick stop by to offer (((HUGS))) to the TAs. Mr Wolf's sister had the Marie Curie nurses, and I gather they made life very much easier for her.
Busy sorting the loft, against the time Mr Wolf can no longer get up there (I've never been able to access it, so I'd be no help there). Some stuff flung, some kitchen stuff flung and the space used to house loft stuff we still need. I'm up to my knees in boxes earmarked for the CS.
Best to do this before the real need arises - as Mr Wolf always says, "Prior Preparation Prevents P***-Poor Performance."
Will pop by again when I can; mostly I'm too exhausted to string a sentence together. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Just had a message from middle dd asking if she and partner/bf can come over tonight. What with all the excitement over the baby I have not seen her for a week or so. Bed is already made up and house is looking reasonable so just went upstairs to put out nice fresh towels etc.
Decided to make a chicken curry so nipped out to other end of town to get ingredients. I was going to make my own onion bhajis but could not get the flour so have resorted to bought ones for tonight with naan bread and pilau rice. They have booked a viewing of a house for tomorrow morning and offered to take me along which I would enjoy. It would be lovely if they did find somewhere they loved but I am trying hard not to interfere. The shop that used to sell bhaji mix no longer recognises the description and neither do a couple more online supermarkets so I had to resort to A***on and ordered a few packs from them with free postage.

Can you try and have a rest? Even a semi doze in an armchair with your feet up would do you good.
TA
I am so glad you are getting help put in place and that you are limiting visits so Mr TA can cope better with them. Positive thoughts and vibes to you both.
Hugs to all0 -
