Been given a Lenovo desktop, its actually 1 of these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-ThinkStation-90BX001HUK-Desktop-Professional/dp/B00OPY11I2/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_147_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=G28YDZBCZFSNNRX21P99
Only thing is Im needing the power supply which is similar to this from ebay item
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-AJP-Lenovo-G50-80-80E5-SERIES-65w-Laptop-AC-Adapter-Charger-Power-Supply-/321850598595?hash=item4aefca64c3:g:ccEAAOSwLVZV5acI
The 1 found on ebay only mentions for use with Laptops but not desktops but I bet thats because laptops use the same power supply.
I have asked the seller if it would be suitable but what do you knowledgeable posters think ?
Thanks

there is more than one type of E50-00 - hence the different power outputs. More powerful computers will need a 90W power supply, not the 65W (watt) mentioned, eg
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-Thinkstation-E50-00-AC-Adapter-Power-Supply-90W-4-5A-20V-/291848408913
But without checking the computer manual I couldn't say for certain.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

If it's the exact same model as the one you linked to then according to the specs here https://www.lambda-tek.com/Lenovo-90BX001HUK~sh/B1920374 its a '90/65W unit'. Whatever that means - does that mean you can get away with 65W? It's not clear.
Genuine Lenovo square adaptors are expensive even for lower wattage laptops. So if you do need 90W expect to pay a substantial fraction of what you paid for the computer, or put your trust in a no-name compatible off Amazon.0 -

If in doubt a 90W brick will not damage the computer; output voltage is important The computer needs 20V and both bricks provide 20V. (PS. I'm not an eletrician!)If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Yes, you'll be fine if the brick can deliver more power than needed. But you definitely won't be fine if the computer tries to pull more watts than the brick can deliver.
I don't know if the square Lenovo connection actually passes minimum power requirement information to the brick; if so it might refuse to power up with insufficient wattage. A compatible/fake may not; which would be a very bad thing indeed if you get it wrong!0
