Blue Badge - Can I Stay Parked In Same Place If I Keep Changing Time?

Of course not
The booklet that just arrived with my renewed badge says 'Badge holders may park on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours... You must wait for at least one hour after a previous period of parking before you can park the same vehicle in the same road or part of a road on the same day'
So as long as there's an hour gap in-between (I don't see how they can enforce this unless they have someone watching the car 24/7) then I can keep just changing the clock and park at the same place.
If I have a disability and I need to park on double lines to get easy access to a car because my road is so busy there is literally no parking available 24/7.. what is the harm!? if it is not causing a danger etc.. it would take a jobsworth to give me a ticket just because I want a car close by and the yellow lines means I probably wouldn't get a disabled parking space.. where's the justice!? I would fight it all the way and take this to the highest court in the land ! the reason I have a Blue Badge and qualify is because my disability means I need a car to be close to me.. what's the point of having a Blue Badge if it means parking at the bottom of the street all the time because the road is so busy there is literally no other parking close to my house!? because the yellow lines outside my house means can only park there for 3 hours.. if I can park there for 15 hours in the day why not 24 hours what is the difference!? (having a 1 hour gap in-betwen every 3 hours)
It is discrimination/racism !!! it literally makes no sense.. if it was a danger to park there then you couldn't even park there with a Blue Badge which you can.0 -
The yellow lines are there for a reason. If it was ok for cars to park there all the time they wouldn't be needed. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Try it and when you start getting tickets don't moan to the forum.
If they wanted people to park on double yellow lines all the time, they wouldn't bother with restrictions.
I bet you park on bends/corners as well.0 -

My mother had a blue badge but she didn't have a car.0 -
FYI, not all councils allow Disabled parking bays anyway, I have tried, offered to pay, said I realise it is not for my sole use, but they will not allow one (very quiet but car overloaded residential street), so the only option left is to apply for dropped kerb for me. As I will be able to park car right outside the house2007 £1749
2008 £291.99
2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99
total so far for 09 £92.990 -
The best solution is to speak the local council who issued the badge.

Once reviewed if you think the rules are wrong you can ask for the rules to be reviewed to take the views of everyone into account. This might take some time.

My suggestion would be explain clearly the challenge you face but appreciate that the council have to consider a whole range of factors when making their decisions.

I know some people have used their PIP payment to fund parking spaces but of course not every blue badge holder get PIP and this might not apply to you.

I hope this helps.Kind regards

If you mean the blue badge parking rules, these are set nationally and nothing to do with the local authority, they just issue the badges on behalf of the government.0
