Right to Buy re-valuation by District Valuer - timeframe
timbre
Hi all,
My girlfriend is currently going through the Right to Buy process. She's considering requesting a visit from the district valuer because her bank has valued the flat at £15,000 less than the landlord did.
Anyone who's been through this process - how long did it take to get the new valuation from the point at which you asked for it? This has taken a year so far and she's keen to get it wrapped up, and the landlord has said it might add another 3-4 months onto the process. Is that a realistic amount of time? I'd be grateful to hear your experiences.
Thanks,
Tom
