I would like some advice re inheritance and legal planning:
2 issues
1.
My grandmother passed away recently and we do not know estate planning yet. She made my father cancel his policy worth £50k few years back and held the money in his account and now he has passed away are worried the money will not get passed to her due to family issues and not sure he was one of her favourites. Also not sure the other funds he is due will be passed onto her due to family politics and my grandmother was under the influence of other brothers. Can my father see the will?
2.
My dads sister now passed away sold majority of her estate by making her power of attorney. The estate she sold included assets in Africa and money in swiss banks. Would we be able to also pursue these funds? I feel the money has been moved around and my father will not get anything from this. Their excuse was that there was no assets or money and because of power of attorney my dad cannot prove anything.
My dad has been left for broke while !!! his siblings are enjoying life and i would like to help him.
If you cannot help i would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction
Thanks,

My grandmother passed away recently and we do not know estate planning yet. She made my father cancel his policy worth £50k few years back it was up to him whether or not he cancelled it - and not sure what 'policy' you are talking about. Why would she want him to cancel it in the first place?and held the money in his account if he held the money in his account, it is surely nothing to do with her estateand now he has passed away are worried the money will not get passed to her due to family issues what money are you referring to? Not clearand not sure he was one of her favouritesdepends what the will says. Also not sure the other funds he is due due from whom?will be passed onto her but if your grandmother is dead....due to family politics and my grandmother was under the influence of other brothers. Can my father see the will?public document once probate has been granted. You can buy a copy for a tenner: https://www.gov.uk/wills-probate-inheritance/searching-for-probate-records

Your post is very unclear - I've added some comments in red to try and clarify, or it could get a bit frustrating for everyone, especially you. Not sure what you mean by 'legal planning' ?
Please could you clarify?0 -

As previous poster says, it's difficult to follow quite what has happened here. Why has your grandmother's death left your father broke?
Who was made POA by your dad's sister? If the sister left a will, that will specify what happens to the assets. Is your father a beneficiary?0 -

Baffled by this. What policy did your father cancel and if he held the money in his account, why isn't it there now? You say 'he has passed away' but at the end of your paragraph you ask if your father can see the will - how can he if he's dead? Why would the money be passed to your grandmother if she too is dead? Where does being a favourite come into it? What other funds was your father due??
Impossible to help while your question is so hard to understand.0 -

Thanks,
Sorry, if this was a movie it would flop because the plot is unclear.
